Star Girl is a conceptual collection that follows the experience of burnout. Ambition and passion are often detriments of success, but these attributes often wear out creatives. The saying “the brightest stars burn out” was used as a connection to make this intangible feeling more tangible. Less literal interpretations of the feeling are expressed through disheveled pleats and gathers, opulent fabrics, and exaggerated silhouettes. The juxtaposition of these elements creates a visually stimulating collection of garments that articulate a universal experience. 

This collection also includes experimental design techniques, from complex draping to metalwork. Altogether, the collection tells a thought-provoking story through well-executed and unconventional design choices.
